Solar PV Power Plant Feasibility Study - Benefits and Constraints

Harnessing sun radiation to generate electricity is an evolutionary process that is accelerating. Electricity is the most flexible and convenient form of energy to use.

We can consider Electrical Power Systems as a network with generation nodes (power plants), long haul transmission lines (Super High Voltage Power Lines) and distribution lines (the lines that feed homes and business enterprises).

Solar Energy main advantage is that it is clean and renewable.

There are 3 constraints though that limit the growth pace of solar pv power plant feasibility study production capacity:

1. The Capital Investment in solar power plant per 1MW (megawatt) production capacity is still higher than the cost of other power plants, leading to higher price to the consumer

2. Solar Power Plants require a relatively larger land and sunny areas; Naturally deserts and arid areas are most suitable. Deserts however are remote from the dense population areas. This lead to the necessity to run new Super High Voltage Power Lines, not a trivial project because of environmental objections and regulatory processes.

3. Solar radiations is intermittent and available only during the day; Electricity storage technology is not well developed.

The remedies are:

1. Prices of solar power consultancy services are going down with improved technologies and larger scale plants.

2. Build smaller community size clean energy plants closer to the consumers and encourage residential solar power systems.

3. Develop better technologies to store energy.

The existing storage technologies don't store electricity; they convert electricity to other energy type during the day and convert it back during night to electricity

What are the different types of PV connection solutions?

Solar PV Energy Solution Owing to the numerous benefits of Solar PV Energy Solutions , the demand for solar cells is on the high end. The solar system comprises semiconductors that convert sunlight into electricity. This way of producing electricity is not only cheap but also environment friendly. Depending upon the functional and operational specifications, PV connection solutions can be broadly categorized into three categories. Grid Connected or Utility-Interactive Systems The foremost advantage of grid-connected Solar PV Energy Solutions is that it is much more economical when compared to other types of PV solar systems. Though this system does not offer any outage protection, it’s design flexibility makes it a popular choice among households. This system can be further divided into grid systems with batteries and without batteries. A grid-connected system without battery Here the solar PV system is integrated with the grid, a conventional electricity infrastructure. The PV system

What is the Difference Between Turnkey and EPC Contracts?

EPC contractors and turnkey service are two of the most recurring terms one comes across while planning to have a solar set up for a home. Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors typically provide a turnkey service for those who are still ignorant. Turnkey EPC solutions provider delivers a ready-to-use solar system that generates free electricity in the long run. But are turnkey and EPC contracts the same, or are there some significant differences that make them stand alone? Indeed, it will be worthwhile to go through their differences if you are planning to install a solar panel soon. What is an EPC Contract? A Solar EPC Company India is responsible for all the solar installation processes from design, procurement, and construction to final delivery. The EPC contractors carry out the groundwork before installation, understand your power requirement, design a suitable panel according to your needs and ensure an appropriate installation.  What is Turnkey Solutions? What is a Floating Solar Power plant ? What is the Significance of Floating Solar Projects?

Solar energy is a great alternative to depleting fossil fuels. Cheap, clean, and sustainable; reasons aren’t enough of why Solar Industry Company India is thriving for the past few years. Though solar energy is the best solution to meet energy requirements, the Operation and Maintenance of Solar power plants are challenging. Moreover, setting up a solar plant demands a lot of open space. In view of this, a floating solar power plant is a great alternative. Let us look at a floating solar power plant's characteristics and advantages over a conventional solar power plant.   What is a Floating Solar Power plant? As the name suggests, a floating solar power plant is an emerging form of a photovoltaic system that floats on water bodies like dams, lakes, canals, etc. These solar plants are fixed on buoyant structures that keep them afloat to receive sufficient sunlight throughout the year. Underwater cables are used to transfer the electric currents to the power plants. According to
