Operation and Maintenance Guidelines of Solar Power Plant

Maintenance and inspection are the two tough terms that come along when speaking about solar power plants. As with every other industry, upkeep of the solar plant is vital to extending the equipment’s life by preventing any decay or damage. Operation and Maintenance(O&M) ensures that your plant generates power at optimal capacity throughout its operational life with the best returns for all involved.

Our experienced O&M team is efficiently equipped to deal with any issues that may arise under review. Here is a compact checklist of the steps followed by our experts during the inspection:

Module Cleaning

This is the most frequent part of maintenance and inspection, with cleanings done every fortnight. The modules must be washed with soft-bristled brushes that do not scratch the surface, keeping the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) below 250 ppm. Currently, researchers are developing a fully automated cleaning process for the modules.

Keeping Filters Dust-Free

As the air in India is highly polluted, it is recommended that the ventilation filters of the inverter are cleaned out every month compared to the quarterly cleanings in other countries.

Ensuring a Tight Cabling Connection

We ensure that there is no gap present between the male and female connector pipes, irrespective of size, as it could cause a fire, damaging the modules.

Transformer Maintenance & Temperature Check

Working parameters like operating temperature, oil temperature, winding temperature, and oil level must be monitored thrice daily at 11 AM, 02 PM and 04 PM since solar power output usually peaks at these hours. Apart from this, the transformer must be thoroughly cleaned once every six months with IR test and cable checks once every year.

Remote Monitoring

For a solar power plant to seamlessly produce power round the clock, we monitor the plant vitals constantly, either on-site or remotely. We check the probe and meter data transmitted to us to foresee any problems and troubleshoot them.

Security from External Agents

Last on our checklist, we look into the external factors in play. Modules are quite sensitive to external elements like harsh wind or even high-pressure water. Additionally, rats sometimes may enter the plant and get electrocuted. Issues like these can be prevented by adequate plant sealing that keeps external agents at bay.

Operation and Maintenance(O&M) is one of the most critical aspects of the energy output received after installing a solar power plant. The amount of power generated depends upon the quality of MV HV Maintenance provided. It’s only through rigorous and meticulous data recording and inspection we can reach the full generating potential of the plant.

As the Leading O&M Solution Provider, we understand each client's needs and expectations. We schedule and conduct plant inspections to give you a better experience of producing your own clean energy at maximum capacity. With thousands of tabs and deadlines to be met, it is best left to our experts.

What are the different types of PV connection solutions?

Solar PV Energy Solution Owing to the numerous benefits of Solar PV Energy Solutions , the demand for solar cells is on the high end. The solar system comprises semiconductors that convert sunlight into electricity. This way of producing electricity is not only cheap but also environment friendly. Depending upon the functional and operational specifications, PV connection solutions can be broadly categorized into three categories. Grid Connected or Utility-Interactive Systems The foremost advantage of grid-connected Solar PV Energy Solutions is that it is much more economical when compared to other types of PV solar systems. Though this system does not offer any outage protection, it’s design flexibility makes it a popular choice among households. This system can be further divided into grid systems with batteries and without batteries. A grid-connected system without battery Here the solar PV system is integrated with the grid, a conventional electricity infrastructure. The PV system

What is the Difference Between Turnkey and EPC Contracts?

EPC contractors and turnkey service are two of the most recurring terms one comes across while planning to have a solar set up for a home. Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors typically provide a turnkey service for those who are still ignorant. Turnkey EPC solutions provider delivers a ready-to-use solar system that generates free electricity in the long run. But are turnkey and EPC contracts the same, or are there some significant differences that make them stand alone? Indeed, it will be worthwhile to go through their differences if you are planning to install a solar panel soon. What is an EPC Contract? A Solar EPC Company India is responsible for all the solar installation processes from design, procurement, and construction to final delivery. The EPC contractors carry out the groundwork before installation, understand your power requirement, design a suitable panel according to your needs and ensure an appropriate installation.  What is Turnkey Solutions? Tu

What is a Floating Solar Power plant ? What is the Significance of Floating Solar Projects?

Solar energy is a great alternative to depleting fossil fuels. Cheap, clean, and sustainable; reasons aren’t enough of why Solar Industry Company India is thriving for the past few years. Though solar energy is the best solution to meet energy requirements, the Operation and Maintenance of Solar power plants are challenging. Moreover, setting up a solar plant demands a lot of open space. In view of this, a floating solar power plant is a great alternative. Let us look at a floating solar power plant's characteristics and advantages over a conventional solar power plant.   What is a Floating Solar Power plant? As the name suggests, a floating solar power plant is an emerging form of a photovoltaic system that floats on water bodies like dams, lakes, canals, etc. These solar plants are fixed on buoyant structures that keep them afloat to receive sufficient sunlight throughout the year. Underwater cables are used to transfer the electric currents to the power plants. According to
